Stepped Insulating Laminated Glass unit is Irregular Insulating Glass Unit which is used for special project work. One sheet or part of glass is bigger than the others then the bigger part of glass can be installed onto frame or wall. Stepped Insulating Laminated Glass unit can satisfy different design of the building. It is made of laminated glass and single glass sheet. IGU is regarded as one kind of energy efficiency glass and is required mandatoriely by governments in western countries to be used in Window and curtain wall in new buildings. Due to its advantage of energy efficiency, Stepped Insulating Laminated glass unit is popular in Curtain Wall, Door & Windows, especially the one with Low E glass or other energy efficiency glas. Low E Glass with Single Silver Coating, Double Silver Coating and Triple Silver Coating used in IGU are available. Low E Glass with More Silver Coating used on IGU, More energy is saved.
IGU Glass is not only two layers of Glass, triple IGU is also available even with Laminated Glass. Neo IGU can be combined by Annealed Glass,Tempered Glass,Laminated Glass. Float Glass, Low E, and other Performance Glass are also the choices. Air or inert gas, such as argon is alternative to increase the glass performance.
Besides the property of energy-efficient, Stepped Insulating Laminated Glass Unit can have the characteristics of acoustic sound with inert glass, or its laminated glass with acoustic PVB.
